Does it hurt?
Most people describe the flash as a warm snap against the skin, not a sting. Start on level 1 and move up only when you are comfortable. Five levels and the skin-tone sensor keep the setting in your hands.
Will it work with my hair and skin tone?
IPL directs light at the pigment in the hair, so the contrast between hair colour and skin tone matters. It is generally better suited to darker hair. The handset has a built-in skin-tone sensor, and the user guide includes a shade chart to check before first use. If it turns out not to suit you, you have 14 days to return it.
What is in the box?
The Clarty handset, a UK three-pin mains adapter and the user guide. It runs on mains power (100-240V), so there is no battery to charge or replace. The handset weighs 556g.
How long does the lamp last?
The lamp is rated for 100,000 flashes. There are no cartridges or refills to buy.
