Was dead skeptical at £120 when Braun charges near £300+, but this has genuinely surprised me. Underarms and lower legs were my problem areas. Started seeing bald patches around week 4, and by week 7 I'm only having to shave once every couple of weeks instead of every two days. Auto-glide mode makes doing legs dead quick while watching TV. Doesn't sting, just feels like a warm little tap.
From our early testers
Real people, real handsets, unedited.
Noticeable thinning on my bikini line and shins after about a month of weekly sessions. Taking one star off solely because the power cord is on the shorter side, so you have to sit fairly close to the wall socket or use an extension lead. Aside from that small niggle, the unit itself is brilliant and saves a fortune compared to clinic visits.
Used to get awful strawberry legs and ingrowns no matter how fresh my razor was. Level 3 is my sweet spot. Two months in, hair is coming back much finer and slower, and my skin isn't angry anymore. Lightweight, easy to grip, and doesn't overheat even after doing both legs back to back. Worth every penny.
Giving 2 stars purely out of frustration with myself and my own expectations. The handset is well-built, safe, and doesn't hurt, but you genuinely have to commit to doing it weekly for 6 to 8 weeks before things start slowing down. My flatmate borrowed it and her legs are practically smooth now, but I simply don't have the discipline to sit down once a week without forgetting. If you have the routine down it clearly works, but if you want instant zero-effort results, stick to waxing.
Paid £60 a pop for professional sessions last year before I gave up because of the cost. Took a gamble on this and it produces the exact same reduction over time. The sensor is reassuring because it won't flash unless it has full contact with your skin. Delighted with it so far.
The first 3 weeks felt like nothing was happening and I was close to packing it back into the box. Stuck with it into the second month and the hair on my calves is definitely much patchier and softer now. Don't buy this expecting an overnight miracle, but if you treat it like a weekly routine, it does pay off.
Threw my epilator in the bin after the second session with this. IPL is practically painless in comparison, just a quick snap of warmth. Did a patch test first on Level 1, then moved up to Level 4 for legs. The safety glasses included are handy. Really neat little device.
The handset itself deserves 5 stars, easy to toggle between manual for smaller areas and auto-glide for legs. Dropping one star only because delivery took around 8 working days, which felt a bit slow. But the product is legit, packaged securely, and my underarm regrowth has slowed down massively.
Fair skin with thick dark hair here, so textbook ideal candidate for IPL. Already seeing bald spots around week 5. Having no battery to recharge is actually a bonus because you never lose power halfway through a session. Super straightforward to use right out of the box.
Does take a few tries to get used to the angle around trickier spots like knees and ankles, but once you get the hang of it, a full session takes about 15 minutes. Hair is growing back at a fraction of the speed it used to. Very satisfied for the price point.
